The Canada International Children's Film Festival (CICFF) is a vibrant celebration of global cinema dedicated to young audiences and the filmmakers who inspire them.
After a magical debut, the Canada International Children’s Film Festival (CICFF) returns for its second year—bigger, brighter, and more inspiring than ever!
In our inaugural edition, we screened 30 incredible films from across the globe: features, animated and live-action shorts, documentaries, and TV episodes, all created with love for children and families. The festival was filled with energy and imagination, brought to life by Q&As, hands-on workshops, and an inspiring Introduction to Filmmaking Masterclass by Kevin Romano-Huhn (Co-Founder, MARKD Productions & Senior Manager, Toronto Film School).
Now, CICFF continues its mission to celebrate the magic of storytelling—bringing children, families, and filmmakers together in a joyful space that uplifts, educates, and empowers.
Highlights of CICFF:
At CICFF, every story matters. Whether you’re a filmmaker ready to share your vision, a parent nurturing a young storyteller, or a child discovering the wonder of cinema for the first time—CICFF is where imagination takes flight.
Together, we’re inspiring the next generation of dreamers!
- One film at a time -
At the Canada International Children's Film Festival (CICFF), our vision is to create an inclusive platform that nurtures the imaginations of young audiences and future filmmakers. We aim to inspire, educate, and entertain children and their families through the magic of cinema while offering a space for filmmakers passionate about creating films for younger generations. CICFF strives to foster creativity, cultural appreciation, and empathy in children while providing opportunities for filmmakers to showcase their work and inspire the next generation of storytellers.
Innis Town Hall is a popular cinema and event venue located at the University of Toronto's St. George campus in downtown Toronto. Its convenient location, professional setting, and connection to the University of Toronto make it a top choice and source of inspiration for audiences, especially children and families.
